I REALLY SHOULD WRITE SOMETHING

i really should write something.

But what else can i conjure that doesnt involve me squinting my eyes and frowning my forehead and squeezing my brain juice in order to produce some excess obligatory funny liner that makes me go "ahhh i've written a nice posts! #win" ?

i think because im constantly drowning myself in thoughts of the what to do's, when to do's and how to do's that when it comes to relaxing (or blogging) im just lazy to exert mental energy. Brain coma. A state of psyche surrender.

So therefore in no particular order. Random opinions.

- LIFE OF PI has to be one of the best books i've read in awhile. (Thanks to the housebunneigh housemate for igniting the "want-to-read" in me) started off rather slow but when u put ur heart to it and be optimistic that there's an ending that is worth the somewhat draggy chapters, you'd be pleasantly wowed.

- FIFTY SHADES OF GREY is NOT one of the books worthy of the aforementioned optimism.

- THE CABIN IN THE WOODS blew my mind. The casualness of the lab character buildups were genius to say the least. Fresh concept for a horror/sci-fi movie too. Now when my spirits are low and my inspiration absent, i remind myself of WWJWD. What Would Joss Whedon Do.

 - PARANORMAN was a pleasantly touching movie. If u dont already notice the walau-so-nice-can-die claynimation.

Also,

I sneaked off (or rather sneaked off and then proudly spammed Instagram like a gungho photographer wanna-be) to BALI for a week's worth of foreign frolicking.
It was nice.
Instagram pics came out great.
As long as Instagram pics came out great, nothing else matters.
Absolutely nothing.

Lets see what else.

Work has been slow-ish. I'm knee deep in writing a new vid for our KickaVlogs.
Cant say that inspiration has been particularly good to me though.
It's been a dry draggy season of sitting down at OldTown and staring stonely at the hazy Restoran Twin Joyous opposite the road beneath the overhead bridge and seeing the Bangla and China workers wait for buses.
Staring and shaking my leg mostly.
U know, when ur nervous as hell and u're stuck in mental blockage and u still know u need to get this shit done but nothing shits out.
Yeah those shakes.

WWJWD mana lu?!

Oh and
Happy (Belated) Raya!

2010 REVISITED

Honestly..
i cant think of anything accomplished in 2010 that resembles anything along the lines of "proud" and "worthwhile" at this point.

I think from the beginning i had already set my sights on making 2010 a doomed year of recuperation and restoration.

Oversplurged in 2009 so naturally 2010 was the recharge year.

But the little little joys that creeped in where very much welcomed.

i mean

I worked alot i guess.
Handled more shoots than i usually did.

Played more songs.
Jammed some jams.

Had my share of faktapshit.

Experienced the French invasion.

The German white boi's departure: (not sure if this qualifies as a "joy".)

(ok fine it does! haha)

Spent time with my hordes of adoring fans.

but overall nothing as epic as Halfwayroundtheworld Euro trips or Halfwayupthesky mountain climbs.

ANYWAY...

2010 LOVES:

KICK ASS

TANGLED / RAPUNZEL

SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON

BURIED

THE SOCIAL NETWORK

WHIP IT (technically 2009 movie but only saw it in 2010)

ZOMBIELAND (also 2009 movie but bloody hell it dserves to be in this list!)

2010. Bah. Watever.
Faster come la 2011.

FIGHT!

I call it fate.
Pure concentrated fate.

It was only a matter of time before destiny would land itself in my lustful grasp and satisfy my cravings for hardcore 20 hit combos and cheesy pre-battle taunts.

It was only through an unavoidable system crash on my withering pc that drove me over the edge of my brother's place at SS24/24 and eventually the opportunity to renew my gaming life with the gift of the genius known as STREET FIGHTER IV for the PC.

Started toying with it on Friday night.
Ended up sleeping at approximately 5am that very day. (or technically, next day)
Too friggin addictive to put down.
Was busy figuring out ways to master CrimsonViper's traits cuz she looks so damn yauyeng in all her killer moves.

Anyway I'm kinda on a ChunLi / Rufus hiatus now.
I'm all about the legs and fats man.
If you're not one of those outdated blokes like me who are functionally retarded on joypads and have been playing it on PS3 for awhile, you'll know that those 2 have combo guns that out-fire and outBOOMZ any BFG 9000 out there.

Ryu and Ken are cheater players.
Their hoduken uppercuts can out-uppercut and out-attack ANY attack.
and the move itself looks so bladi good too. With the flaming fist and all.
Not a fair move at all man. Not a fair move.
How do the wimpy Blankas and Balrogs stand against something so effortlessly effective like that?!
Aih.

Brain power has been working on OT due to endless memorizing of character moves from websites like this.
It's like i'm back in school drilling in my maths formulas again, eager to exercise my new-found knowledge on the exam table.

Thankfully, I see no signs of blistering, bruising and swelling on fingers (or any other parts of the body).

...YET.

Curious about Benjamin

The curious case of Benjamin Button.

Starts off good.
And I really thought this was going to be one of those movies that would tear me like a baby by the end of it.

Didn't happen.

Yawned alot.

And i didn't feel the pityness I was suppose to feel for dear Benji.
I wiki'ed the original story and it sounds much better than the movie version.
So much more koh-lian.

By the end of the movie i only had one sentence in my mind.
"It's about time."

But it ends well. I like the ending.
and I think the posters are pure genius.

Daring idea.

Bet you'll never find anything like that done locally.
Everyone is too particular about branding that they'd never be open to the idea of flipping a brand name like that.
