We just did another video.

Time was tight and tension was super tiuz (on my side) but i'm just hoping this video justifies the idea and lameness i so want to never lose touch of in myself.

i never wouldve expected so many friends to fork out time for lil ol' us to do this.
But they did and we are indeed thankful and in depth to them now.

KICKATOMIC'S DAWN OF THE DRAGON

PERFECTION IS A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEMOTIVATOR

Is it a designer thing to be able to whip-out some of best designs (subject to opinion, of course) for a client in 1 day or 2 but whimper in agony when  it comes to designing a personal project?

When MizzKoh and I started the company that is our businesslovechild, we had so many ideas of how it should look and what persona it should carry and which direction it should follow.

But now that we are getting into the specifics of the so-called "brand identity", we are just killing ourselves trying to get it perfectly right.

We wanted it to look funny. but then after a month we were afraid we didnt look "professional" enough.
We wanted the colours to feel loud and bold, but in the following weeks we came to really appreciate the beauty of a pastel/beige-driven scheme.

We talked about the importance of namecards, but for the card to work, we need to nail down the look, which we dun want to rush out in fear of the impending sienness it could bring.

headache until can die.

I remember Art classes back in Primary School where i'd be gilehappybabi drawing anything according to the theme of the day, but when the teacher handed us a blank piece of art block and told us to "zi you fa hui" (free to express), i panic instantly. Cause there was just too much i wanted to "fa hui" until i dunno where to start.

Give me a full brief with details and i can cook up a storm but hand me a blank sheet and i'll fold.
Too much goes on in my head until i dunno where to start from.

FIELD TRIP USA: YEAR 2 PRESS CONFERENCE

ARGH looks like another long drought of MIA from blogging.

CANNOT CANNOT. tat's no way to treat a blog i've kept alive for so many years.

Therefore, a quick update:

work has been pretty good.

Just completed the graphics for Field Trip USA: Year 2 on 8TV and we were invited to the press conference at Pavilion few days ago.

Entrance gate. like stepping into my old workplace liddat.

Watching these younglings at the Press Conference really reminded me of how i was when i was (urgh. here it comes..) their age.
u know.. noob dude attending events like this with a bunch of friends you just came to acquaint with.
Laughing extra loud at random bits of inside jokes when ur friends' get coverage on the show.
Basking in butterflies while enjoying your time in the spotlight when asked to go on stage to share ur experience.

these projects really make me feel like our newly established company could actually be going places. i stress on the "COULD".

The uncertainty of work every month still freaks me to the bone but i really stand firm that i made the right decision in life by leaving the dictatorship of a multimilliondolar company.

STILL ALIVE AND KICKING

Long absence from blogging again.

Argh.

Just havent got the time to sit myself down and write on impulse cause everytime i stare at a blank document a million things flash tru my insides and i end up not ever knowing where to start.

okokok. will attempt to compose and enunciate:

Firstly,

I have finally set up a partnership with the (in)famously voluptuous Tsu Ann.

thats her nagging the helpless counter kakak not to waste our time
and get it done now or else.

i am indeed honoured and overwhelmed that this feisty young lady would agree to take this leap of faith with me.

details of our company will be proudly proclaimed soon!

It's something that we've always wanted to start and by taking the step away from our office jobs, we have directly thrown ourselves into the deep end of the sharkpool.

I pray we eventually develop anti-shark Adamantium claws.

Also, I hope she shows me her boobs soon.

With that came our 1st official job.
